Myron Whitaker's pottery exhibit at Wingate University

Wingate University welcomes potter Myron Whitaker with his exhibit of
raku vases and platters Oct. 7 through Nov. 23 in the Douglas Helms
Gallery of the George A. Batte, Jr. Fine Arts Center. The free exhibit
is open from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Friday with an opening
reception Oct. 6 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Helms Gallery.
On Oct. 22, Whitaker will participate in Artful Friday from 11:30
a.m.– 1 p.m. with a ceramic demonstration on the wheel in Burnside-
Dalton Building at Wingate University.
The Kannapolis native was one of the six artists commissioned by
Discovery Place to participate in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. He was
also an exhibitor in the, "100 Top Artists in America," in Scottsdale,
Arizona.
