Unit have signed a murder warrant on Thomas Lee Davis, DOB:
03/10/1969. Mr. Davis is wanted for the 08/12/2010 murder of Linda
Christine Wise, which occurred at 1215 Effingham Road. Anyone with

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit Detectives are
conducting a homicide investigation at a residence in the 1200 block
of Effingham Road in the Metro Division. The incident was reported at
11:57 a.m., on Thursday, August 12, 2010. The victim has yet to be
positively identified; once she has been identified and her family
notified of her death, her name will be released.
Metro Division officers responded to a call for service in reference
to an unconscious female who was found lying on the floor inside the
above residence. The Charlotte Fire Department arrived on the scene
and located the victim lying on the floor suffering from apparent
bodily trauma; she was pronounced deceased on scene. Metro Division
officers arrived and cordoned off the crime scene. Based upon initial
statements from neighbors, screams were heard coming from inside the
residence and that when the screams stopped, a witness went inside the
house to check on the victim. This witness called 911 to report the
apparent assault. Detectives with the Homicide Unit and the Gang Unit
are actively following up on leads as to the identity of the suspect.
Several witnesses have been transported to police headquarters to give
statements.
