Dionne Warwick, Other Stars to appear at Teen Summit in Shelby

Patricia Houston, Founder and Director of "Teen Summit," as well as
speakers and musicians including Dionne Warwick, Kim Burrell, BeBe
Winans, Charles King, Ahmadiel Ben Yehuda and others, will appear in
Shelby Oct. 8.
Patricia Houston will host the 4th annual mentoring program, which was
created to enrich the lives of youth in troubled communities. The
theme of the Teen Summit 2010 is "There's No Place Like Home". The
Summit will consist of a wide array of programs intended to aid teens
and young adults in achieving the skills necessary to flourish. We
aim to Rebuild, Restore, and Repair our youth to reach productive
adulthood.

The annual Teen Summit begins with a private film screening on Friday,
October 8th at the Don Gibson Theatre in Shelby, NC. Dionne Warwick
will have a book-signing Saturday, October 9th at Celebrity
Consignment in uptown Shelby and will also be a part of the main
program at Palmer Grove Family Life Center in Shelby, NC.

Our vision is to stop the perpetual destructive behavior of these
young people by creating and innovative Mentoring Academy that will be
available to guide and support them during their most critical
development time. The Academy will also provide a series of programs
that are designed to assist them in understanding how to achieve
success and take advantage of their many talents in various fields of
endeavors.
