in a Charlotte planning conference for veterinarians facilitated by
Buck Lawrimore, president of Lawrimore Inc.
Participants will be members of the "Small Animal EVP 2000" group, a
practice management program for veterinarians started by the
University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Mark Green,
DVM, a veterinarian practicing in the University area of Charlotte, is
coordinating the conference.
"Since 2000, our Executive Veterinary Program or EVP group has met
twice a year to continue exploring issues in business management,"
Green said. "As small business owners, we deal with issues ranging
from inventory control to health care for our employees, along with
taking care of the medical needs of our four-legged patients. We know
the importance of strategic planning and preparing for changes in the
business environment."
In preparation for the event, participants have been provided with
three e-books written by Lawrimore:
•	"Dynamic Strategic Planning: A Powerful Process for Real World
Results"
•	"The Top 5 Success Factors of All Time"
•	"Unlimited Success & Happiness"
"These e-books have already given us new insights into innovations in
strategic planning and how to achieve greater success," Green said.
"Like human medicine, veterinary medicine is constantly changing. Our
group aims to keep ahead of the curve and learn together about new and
better ways to manage our practices and serve our clients."
