Charlotte's Smokin' Flavor Fest - BBQ Cook- Off to benefit Make A Wish Foundation

Sixteen local barbeque grilling teams will participate in the 2nd
Annual BBQ Cook-Off sponsored by Charlotte Outdoor Creations to
benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Grilling
teams will begin cooking on site at 3645 Pleasant Plains Rd, Matthews
Friday night and continue through late afternoon Saturday when judging
will be completed. There will be judging in 5 BBQ categories; chicken,
ribs, brisket, pork and open grill with first through third place
winners being recognized. The open grill will be judged by the public
at noon and the winner of that category will receive a Big Green Egg
Smoker donated by Charlotte Outdoor Creations. Additionally, there
will be BBQ sampling, moon bounce for children and more fun all day.
Come and enjoy the day, BBQ samplings, and support The Make-A-Wish
Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children
with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human
experience with hope, strength and joy. For more information about the
