Easter Seals UCP Holds 4th Annual Small Miracles Luncheon on May 5

Easter Seals UCP (United Cerebral Palsy), a nonprofit serving children
and adults with disabilities and mental health challenges, is holding
its 4th annual Small Miracles Luncheon sponsored by Allegiance
Foundation on Wednesday, May 5 at Carmel Country Club. More than 400
people are expected to attend and raise money to support critical
programs and services for adults and children with disabilities.

Hosted by Debi Faubion Attori, the Small Miracles Luncheon is one of
Easter Seals UCP's signature fundraising events featuring personal
testimonials of hope, progress and achievement from adults, children
and their families living with special needs.

Allison Schweizer – one of the featured speakers – will share the
story of her four year old son, Luke. Luke has a twin sister, but
their differences go further than just their gender. Luke was born
with cerebral palsy. Luke and his sister attend the Easter Seals UCP
Children's Center, an all inclusive learning center for children of
all abilities six weeks through pre-K. In this educational
environment, Luke has been able to thrive in his development and
learning thanks to the support of his therapists who incorporate his
specialized therapy into the classroom and give him a chance to be a
regular four year old.

Easter Seals UCP serves more than 17,500 children and adults with
disabilities and their families in North Carolina. Fifteen percent
(15%) of those served live in the Charlotte metro area. Money raised
from the Small Miracles Luncheon allows Easter Seals UCP to continue
to serve a growing population and add more beneficial programs and
services to meet the needs of those living with special challenges.

For more information or to attend this fundraising luncheon, which
asks people to give based on their abilities, please call Basil
