folk singer-songwriter, proving to his listeners that he can fluently
wear both hats.

May 23—Angie Medlin with Tom Williams & Steve Pelland
Angie Medlin with Tom Williams
Working in the radio industry gave Angie exposure to different types
and styles of music. In late 1996 during an after-hours event, she
was coaxed into singing at a local club. No one, not even Angie,
expected what that night might bring. She then taught herself to play
guitar and slowly began to write lyrics that would one day become
songs, all along continuing to practice her vocal work. By 2003, she
was ready to step into the spotlight as the lead vocalist for Shade, a
funk-rock original band based in Charlotte. In late 2007, Angie
created Sid Hippo Management, a small publishing company that is her
home base for her work as a songwriter and performer. By 2008, Sid
Hippo obtained ASCAP membership and manages the publishing and
performing rights to 20 original songs. In October 2008, Angie joined
forces with Williams to create the acoustic duo "Ang." Since then,
the two have played more than 60 shows and multiple benefit concerts.

Steve Pelland
Steve is a graduate of the Modern School of Music where he studied
Jazz, majoring in Bass and Composition. Steve studied with the
acclaimed bass-baritone, Norman Nadeau, and was featured on WDAV-FM's
"Main Street Sessions" program where he performed in studio. He was
also featured on Charlotte's Fox News Rising as an up-and-coming
singer/songwriter.
