The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is seeking the community's
assistance related to the investigation of a series of events which
occurred early in the morning of March 20. Specifically CMPD is
interested in speaking to any witnesses who have information regarding
these events:
· The robbery that took place in the 1400 block of West Trade
Street on Sunday, March 20, at approximately 1a.m.

An Internal Affairs investigation began immediately after the shooting
involving Officer Harrison and the arrest of Mr. Springs. This is

to preserve the trust and confidence of the community, the CMPD
investigates all accusations of officer misconduct. This investigation
will be no different than any other internal affairs investigation.
